I gained all practical skills during my training to Designer for digital and print media, with focus on digital media at Karl-Heinz Eden and his ACE (now ZMB).

The ACE (Arbeitsstelle Computergrafik und ästhetische Erziehung) is the institution 'Center for Computer Graphics and Esthetic Education' of the Braunschweig University of Art to research, develope and train in the field of new media in combination with esthetic education and training.

My duties included:
Compiling DVDs 
Digitizing film footage and designing menus to create DVDs for the ACE. 

Compiling manuals
Writing and editing articles and screenshots for manuals. 

Compiling reference books for students 
Digitalization of reference works for the Intranet: designing images, capturing text with OCR software; designing HTML pages. 

Mentoring the ACE-laboratory 
Advising and supporting students with their projects: helping them to solve problems with programs or data sources; instructing them how to work with programs easily. 

Supporting courses of the ACE
Helping students to realize their ideas with programs like Premiere, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Encore DVD, Flash... 

Designing information material 
Creating posters and flyers for the ACE.
